Thames Water Property is responsible for all property matters relating to the Thames Water estate except building maintenance and Facilities Management (managed by the Buildings and Facilities team).
The Thames Water Utilities estate is around 16,000 acres comprising a wide variety of operational sites including reservoirs, sewage works, water treatment works, pumping stations, pipetrack, offices, as well as land which is surplus to operational requirements.
In addition, Thames Water Property manage the property portfolio for property subsidiaries such as Kennet Properties, Thames Water Investments, etc.
What we do
As well as providing a full Estate Management and Town Planning service for Thames Water, the Property team seeks to maximise the value of the property portfolio.
This is carried out through the release of land/buildings for disposal, maximising development opportunities through the planning process on sites that can be sold and seeking third party lettings to generate rental income and reduce maintenance costs on land/buildings required for current or future operational use.
Who we are
The Property team based in Reading and is managed by Richard Hill (Head of Property) with a small in-house team and with many activities delivered by our outsource partner, Savills UK Ltd.
