What types of careers are available within Thames Water?
We have opportunities within almost every field - from finance to quantity surveying and engineering.
Does Thames Water recruit people outside their home country?
We will only apply for work permits for foreign nationals if there are no suitable candidates resident in the UK or who are nationals of the European Economic Area.
The British Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 requires that all successful candidates be asked to provide evidence of their immigration status and eligibility to seek work in the UK and we expect you to bring photographic ID and proof of address at interview stage.
The manager interviewing you will then photocopy and sign these documents.
Does Thames Water embrace diversity?
Our aim is to attract highly talented individuals who are innovative and can contribute to improving company performance.
We seek to hire a cultural mix of people who can offer different but complementary attitudes, values, talents and knowledge.
We understand the importance of appreciating the unique skills, experiences, background and differences that each individual possesses and the need to harness these to ensure maximum benefit to the company.
To support this we aim to provide rewarding careers and a supportive working environment that provides an opportunity for all to utilise their talents and which creates a working community that promotes inclusion and encourages individuality.
These aspects are key to the growth and success of our company.
Where are you located?
Our main head office is in Reading but we have sites dotted around the whole of the Thames Valley area from Swindon to Guildford.
Does Thames Water pay expenses to candidates travelling to interviews / assessment centres?
No, we do not offer any reimbursement for expenses you incur attending an interview or an assessment centre.
